Zoom is a video conferencing tool that has various features that can be helpful to faculty who want to teach synchronous classes. It is not a replacement for a Learning Management System such as Blackboard or Google Classroom but can be used in concert with those tools.

Go to https://cuny.zoom.us to access your Queens College Zoom Account. Do NOT go to zoom dot cuny dot us. It is not a valid site. Do NOT click on any links or download anything from that page for downloading.
Log in using your CUNY credentials (Firstname.LastnameNN@login.cuny.edu, where "NN" is the last 2+ digits of your CUNY EMPLID). If you have trouble logging in, please contact the Queens College helpdesk at Support@qc.cuny.edu.

Live Transcription Enabled
Zoom has enabled live transcription for all CUNY users. This new feature provides for automatic closed captioning of all Zoom audio discussions in English. More information can be found on the CUNY IT help site: https://bit.ly/2Ht3Xx3.
As a reminder, The City University of New York has secured Zoom for Education licensing to allow CUNY users to host or participate in online Zoom meetings by telephone, mobile device, or computer. The CUNY implementation of Zoom for Education includes the following features:
unlimited meeting duration
alternate hosts and cohosts
up to 300 meeting participants and 49 video feeds
up to 50 breakout rooms to allow a single meeting to be split into separate sessions
meeting features include screen sharing, polling, whiteboard, annotation, recording meetings, chat
